Here is the real scoop on Bruce Lunsford and Vencor. The author of the study suggests Lunsford is a sociopath.

So what we have is Dale Emmons, who helped McConnell and Fletcher use Lunsford to soften Chandler up in 2003. Emmons sucks hundreds of thousands of dollars out of the Kentucky Democratic Party under Lundergan, and then proceeds to jump over to the Republican side AGAIN to betray us by using Lunsford again.

I know what needs to come next. I saw it toward the end of "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?", right after that Mississippi politician asks the audience "IS YOU IS OR IS YOU AIN'T MY CONSTITUENCY?"

That guy got rode out of town on a rail, and the same thing needs to happen to Emmons and his financier, Jerry Lundergan.

Who can blame Lunsford? I realize that politics is a tough business but what Chandler did to Lunsford in the '03 primary was dirty pool. Those nursing home ads Chandler ran right before the primary, when Lunsford dropped out, were the most despicable things I have ever seen. Ben Chandler deserves a special place in hell for those ads.

While it may be a dark one, Emmons has another horse in this gubernatorial race as well. He has consulted for State Rep. Lonnie Napier (Republican) before.

Why does the KDP funnel money to an unrepentant mercenary like Emmons, who represents virtual Republicans (Lunsford) and actual ones (Napier)????

More than anything, we need a Gov-LG ticket with 2 people without any whiff of corruption. And any association with Emmons means a candidate stinks from a mile away.

Fletcher said Lunsford "shares our values"? Wha values? They're certainly not American values.

What values do Fletcher and Lunsford share? The values they must share are probably more Taliban-like than they are American.

So did anyone catch the arena groundbreaking footage? It was postively hysterical how uncomfortable everyone looked while Fletcher was speaking. Poor David Tandy was forced to stand next to David Williams, and directly behind the podium while Fletcher was speaking, putting him in possibly the most uncomfortable position of all.

Tandy is an idiot, the only reason he emceed is that the arena will be in his metro council district. Otherwise he wouldn't have been on the stage.

lunsford is not just a poor little rich boy who hopes to buy the governorship. he is a ruthless businessman and maybe a sociopath who thinks profit matters more than people in almost every case he has ever had to make the choice. he is not what democrats or kentuckians need as a candidate or a governor.

if you read the article that lebanonfan links and still need convincing about lunsford try googling ventas, mike barr, health essentials, citation capital. if these dont convince you that lunsford not only should not be governor but probably should be in jail then you are probably named bruce lunsford.

The article on Lunsford and Vencor is a joke. Not a single shred of evidence is presented that he did anything illegal. He owned 400 nursing homes, and couldn't possibly oversee every employee at every facility. Is it the CEO of McDonald's fault if a cook spits in your food? Who is this idiot from Frankfort that says he won't put his name out there for fear of his life? Charlie Owen has lost over and over has no charisma, and won't spend his money. Can anyone not understand why he would have been upset with Ben after those ads with the old ladies making it sound like Bruce had personally abused them?

Lunsford started the '03 campaign playing dirty and finished it dirty. Chandler did nothing but respond in kind to Lunsford's $7 million tirade. Lunsford is no Democrat and he is no leader. And jerrylee- your attempt to analogize Lunsford's Vencor experience to McDonald's is just plain stupid. Lunsford ran Vencor into the ground, costing investors and employees millions.

didnt say i was from frankfort and didnt say i was afraid for my LIFE but am afraid of lunsford all the same. he has ruined bigger people than me including someone very close to me. i wont say anymore about that because i dont want to give any possible identification of who I am talking about.

that one article which i didnt even post first, lebanonfan did, is not the only information about lunsford on the web or in newspapers. it is not even the only one on that site. i have a lot more but am holding on to them until i see if they are needed or not to shut down a lunsford run for governor.

i dont agree that the article doesnt show any proof of anything illegal. but that is not the only standard we hold up for our elected officials. even a die hard lunsford supporter should be able to see that he is guilty of immoral conduct if you cant bring yourself to call it illegal.

yes, lunsford did have personal responsibility for hurting people in his facilities. that article shows it and lots more will too. i posted some of them on that hysteria comments list a couple days ago.

7:56, are you referring to David Tandy? Sure, he's stupid: he's the idiot who signed his name to KDP campaign finance filings that contradict every public statement Jerry Lundergan makes. But he keeps enabling Lundergan's deceptions and has never stated a desire to open the KDP's financial records for members of the State Central committee.

A KDP Treasurer with strong moral principles would not stand silent while Lundergan and Dale Emmons destroy the infrastructure and credibility of the KDP.
